Fondant versus Buttercream
Yes we do both. However, we strongly prefer fondant as the nature of our business is to create truly unique creations that are usually represented by colors, shapes and designs where fondant, gum paste and marzipan are the lead characters.
Booking your Date We suggest you don’t give up or quit before you call. The only answer to this question is basically if we’re available, we’ll take your cake order. We’re usually booked anywhere between 4 weeks and 4 months in advance (especially for big cakes), however, sometimes we have a little room for more. We suggest you call us immediately when you decide the date for your event and that will ensure our availability for your cake. Dates will not be saved unless your order is made.
Are Cakes always ready for sale?
No. We are custom cake designers. We can’t make it unless you tell us what to make.
So, you wanna taste the cakes!
Like we said, sometimes larger cakes such as wedding cakes or events which are for more than 75 people, require a little more information. Therefore, for 75 or more persons cakes, you must come personally and meet one of the designers for a one on one cake ordering experience. I’m sure you prefer it that way anyway.... For cakes smaller than that, eureka, we may be able to do it over the phone. If you know what it tastes like and you know what you want, we’ll give it a shot. If things get complicated, you know the drill. Give us a call and we’ll let you know when you could come by to place an order.
This is a hard one, not because we want to mislead you or charge you more but because there are a lot of different factors that come into play. We figured the easiest way is per person/slice. We start at $4.00 per slice for a plain cake covered in fondant. Plain means pretty plain. If you get wild or like thrills and frills on your cake, of course it’s going to cost you more. $4.00 is basically a yellow cake with a filling. Specialty cakes, i.e. carrot cake, red velvet, guava, amaretto, etc. cost more. You get the idea! Mini cakes start at $7.00 per cake. That will get you a mini cake covered in fondant with a simple decoration. Again, if you want to go crazy, it will cost you more. If you want it in a box, it will cost you extra for the box. Simple. Fondant covered cupcakes start at $3.00. Same concept. Nothing new. Buttercream cupcakes, however, will cost you $2.00. Just give us a call and we’ll clear it up for you.
Do we deliver?
Of course we do. Within a 20 mile radius a regular cake will cost you about $15.00. For larger cakes and those for deliveries outside the 20-mile radius, those are charged a delivery fee according to the location and set-up. Don’t worry, we’ll figure it out.
