The art of cake decorating is a skill that is not mastered at a major culinary school nor does it require a title such as that of Chef to obtain the knowledge of how to. Experience is key. A love of this art is the major ingredient in the recipe of becoming a great cake decorator.
Everybody starts at the beginning stage which is mainly a strong desire to do this. Maite and her colleagues occasionally schedule workshops and seminars to instruct cake decorating and candy making enthusiasts starting with the basics and then guide you on your way.
